What is Holistic Dentistry?

Integrative Dentistry brings a holistic philosophy to the practice of dentistry. As such, it enlists the body, mind, and spirit for the care and maintenance of the mouth, the gateway to the whole body. In fact, we can determine a great deal about your general health by examining your mouth. Once we’ve assessed your level of overall health, we utilize natural/alternative treatments and remedies—where possible—and tailor-made protocols to bring your whole body into balance. When your mouth is healthy, you are healthy, and vice versa.

Our mission is to provide our patients with exceptional and innovative holistic dental services along with many special touches, modern treatments, and time-honored healing modalities to transform the dreaded dental visit into an opportunity for self-rejuvenation and healing. We are all in this together, making choices and understanding how our work fits into our lives and health.

Getting Mercury Removed Safely

Dr. Gabi understands that mercury amalgam fillings can be toxic if left in the mouth. Patients who still have this type of filling can visit him for a full consultation to develop a treatment plan for safe mercury removal. Mercury fillings need to be removed in a very specific way, and Dr. Gabi can advise the patient about how this process works, how long it will take in each individual situation, and the best way to proceed. He can then safely remove all mercury fillings and replace them with newer, safer fillings.

Inlays and Onlays Q&A

At Dentalogics, Brentwood, CA, we offer inlays and onlays if you have damage or tooth decay within the cusp of a tooth. An inlay is used similarly to a traditional filling but looks much more genuine. An onlay is necessary for a significant reconstruction, where it extends out over one or more cusps of the tooth. Often, inlays may replace traditional fillings that failed or fell out since they are more durable.

WHAT TO EXPECT

First appointment:

During your first visit, the damaged tooth is cleaned and prepared for the 3D digital scan. Within seconds your teeth are rendered into a digital model and sent to our lab technician to uniquely create an inlay or onlay for your tooth. Dr. Gabi will fabricate a temporary filling for your tooth for protection before your final visit.

Second appointment:

At your second appointment, your custom inlay or onlay is ready to be placed on the damaged tooth. Dr. Gabi will make sure that the fit and esthetics are approved and will cement it permanently. It’s that simple!

Our team at Dentalogics will be happy to help answer any questions or concerns you may have about inlays, onlays, or dental concerns. Don’t hesitate to contact us today to schedule your appointment in our Brentwood office.
